Casino bonus terms explained

Wagering requirements, max bet rules, game weighting and cashout caps โ€” what each one costs you.

Five terms decide whether a bonus is worth claiming. Learn them once and you can evaluate any offer in under a minute.

Wagering requirement. The multiplier you must turn over before withdrawing. Critically, check the base: 35x on the bonus alone is roughly half the turnover of 35x on deposit plus bonus.

Maximum bet during wagering. Usually around โ‚ฌ5. Exceeding it even once can void the bonus and everything won with it โ€” the most common reason players lose a balance they thought was theirs.

Game weighting. Slots normally contribute 100 % toward wagering, table games often 10 % or nothing. Playing blackjack on a slots bonus can mean making almost no progress.

Expiry. Typically seven to thirty days. A large bonus on a short clock forces a pace of play that is rarely a good idea.

Maximum cashout. Common on free spins and no-deposit offers. A โ‚ฌ100 cap means a โ‚ฌ500 win pays โ‚ฌ100 โ€” check before you celebrate.

Run the arithmetic before claiming: bonus amount multiplied by the wagering figure is the turnover required. If that number looks unreasonable for how long you intend to play, decline the bonus. Playing without one is always allowed.
